New Orleans Rain

My prayers go out to New Orleans and everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina.
It's just breaking my heart watching the news lately.
I found this blues song to be very appropriate for how I'm feeling.
If anyones got the right to sing the blues now, its New Orleans...

New Orleans Rain-by Doug Duffey

New Orleans rain
Keeps pourin' down
Imagine my tears
As it falls to the ground

I'm all alone
In the heart of the town
Longin' for someone
Who dont come around

New orleans rain
Falls like my tears
Y'know these tears I been cryin'
I been cryin' for years

But the sound of the raindrops
About to drive me insane
And all I hear is the sound
Of the New Orleans rain

Y'know the thunder and lightnin'
Rock this gloomy ol' place
I cry out when its frightnin'
The tears roll down my face yeah

And when the heartaches get heavy
Ragin' out of control
Theres a hurricane blowin'
In the depths of my soul

New orleans rain
Poundin' the roof
Like my poor heart is poundin'
And these tears are the proof

That a man can't help cryin'
When he's sufferin in pain
All alone in New Orleans
Yeah, in the New Orleans rain

Y'know the thunder and lightnin'uh huh
Rock this gloomy ol' place
I cry out when its frightnin' yeah
The tears roll down my face

Now when the heartaches get heavy
Ragin' out of control
There's a hurricane blowin'
In the depths of my soul

I said New Orleans rain
O Lord
Pounds on my roof
Like my poor heart is poundin'

And these tears are the proof
That a man cant help cryin' no no
When he's sufferin' in pain
All alone in New Orleans
Yeah in the New Orleans rain
I said I cant help cryin' yeah
in the New Orleans rain
Yeah.
